1. The Alpha SV Jacket is Arc’teryx’s most durable women’s alpine hardshell, engineered for sustained exposure to severe weather and demanding technical ascents. Its reinforced construction prioritizes uncompromising protection, abrasion resistance and long-term reliability in environments where equipment failure is not an option.

The three-layer 100D GORE-TEX PRO ePE fabric combines a highly durable recycled nylon face with a waterproof, windproof and breathable membrane. The ePE membrane is thinner and lighter than previous membrane technology while maintaining the rugged protection required for expedition-level use. It is manufactured without intentionally added PFAS.

The dense 100-denier face fabric withstands repeated contact with rock, ice and climbing equipment. An FC0 DWR treatment prevents the outer fabric from saturating quickly, helping preserve breathability and reducing the cold, heavy feeling caused by a waterlogged face fabric.

The helmet-compatible StormHood provides full protective coverage without restricting peripheral vision. Climbing-specific articulation supports unrestricted movement, while the women’s regular fit provides room for insulating layers without creating unnecessary bulk.

Harness-compatible chest pockets keep essential equipment accessible while climbing. Two internal dump pockets provide fast storage for gloves or a hat, while a secure internal pocket and left-bicep pocket organize smaller items. WaterTight zippers reduce moisture entry, and pit zips release excess heat during demanding movement.
