The Beta SL Skirt is a superlight, waterproof and multifunctional shell designed for hiking in unpredictable weather. Developed with input from long-distance hikers, it provides fast protection when rain arrives without requiring the wearer to stop and pull waterproof pants over boots. The three-layer GORE-TEX ePE construction delivers waterproof, windproof and breathable protection. Its recycled nylon face fabric combines 40-denier and 70-denier yarns for a balance of low weight and durability, while the ePE membrane is made without intentionally added PFAS. A soft GORE C-KNIT backer improves next-to-skin comfort and breathability. The FC0 DWR treatment helps rain bead away from the outer surface without using intentionally added PFAS. The wraparound design can be quickly fitted over hiking pants and additional layers. An internal elastic waistband and two-hook closure provide adjustable sizing across different body shapes and layering combinations. The skirt packs into its own zippered thigh pocket for compact storage. Its multifunctional construction also allows it to be used as an emergency ground sheet or as temporary rain protection for a backpack.
